Capilano/Ambleside this week?

Hey folks, I may be up for some coho fishing on Tuesday July 12. I was thinking of during the day and hoping some others might be free. I have my revo 13, the basic obligatory safety gear and a vhf, but no drysuit yet. I haven't fished the mouth of the Cap before but have driven by enough times. Anyone free and interested in going?

I hear you Ed, dealing with and paying for ferries sucks. $150 for a round trip to Nanaimo is brutal. I'll try to make it over your way a couple times later this year.

I've been following Pacific Anglers blog....seems like it's just starting. I know the guys that shore fish really stress the tide timings.

That's what I had gathered as well. I think that when fishing up the river tides become more important for bringing fish in and up. If they're staging out in the salt or estuary maybe not as important, at least that's my opinion as well as one of my good fishing buddies. We had a high slack tide in the middle of our day too, but that didn't help any. But getting skunked is part of the sport and I'll go again the next chance I get
