Anyone do a multi day trip out of Whittier ever or planning one?  I spent a week out on my powerboat two years ago and have been looking over charts. There are a couple places I pulled some decent sized halibut out of not too far out, but far enough to be more than a single day trip.

Chris at liquid adventures out of Seward is trying to put together a trip in early June to Montague. I'd be interested but have a conflict on that date. I think it's posted in the Alaska section.

Yea... Saw that but that isn't what I meant.  Anyone paddle/peddle their butt out into the sound from Whittier for a week of fishing?  Like heading 30 miles out?

I haven't done it either. But I picked up a rate sheet from the Whittier water taxi folks (Matt & Heidi Cline) because I'm interested in doing something similar -- a multi-day drop off/camp trip to explore new areas to fish.  You should check out their website. I thought rates were really reasonable -- especially split among a couple households.  Their website is www.whittierwatertaxi.com  I used their services for a few trips out of Seward when they were based there, and found them to be very good to deal with. They know PWS and Kenai Fjords.
