Hey all,

after searching the forums I find there is little info on how folks have rigged their Malibu two XL anglers... So, I thought I would start a thread and how I am rigging mine.    I will start with my first mods, which are installing two T-handle hatches.   For now, I am going to deal with the crappy rod placement and focus on the FF next.

Please add comments, suggestions, and how you have rigged your Malibu two.

Thanks for posting this, will continue to follow it. Our first tandem was a Malibu Two XL (older one, non-angler) and I still have fond memories of that boat.

Rushing to get the yak ready for our trip to Sunset Bay last weekend, I added a milk crate and a Humminbird HELIX 5 CHIRP GPS G2 PT.  Here it is ready for its maiden voyage at Sunset Bay.  I will continue to update this thread as the yak progresses.

Interesting mod. I wonder how does self rescue on tandems work, does any one here have experience?

No experience but I'd guess from opposite on three might actually work as long as both swing your feet in the opposite direction. I got a big tuna if anyone wants to find out.

I self rescued in calm lake water many times when I had the Malibu XL with one of my kids still on board.

They were less rescues and more just jumping in and out in fun waters.
