Can't Wednesday, but thinking very hard about a Saturday morning.  Seems like a nice flood tide going slack about 9:30 AM.

Awesome.  I will see you guys out there.  I'm taking a couple of friends with me.

How are you fishing it?  Darts?  Trolling herring?

Planning to throw jigs, but I'm going to bring some trolling gear for good measure.

Anyone with experience tossing crab pots off the delta area on the way across and a quick retrieval on the way back?

I do.  An my experience tells me that I lost 2 pots out there in 30ft of water.  150ft of line and 2 big bouys.   Weighted too.  The current out there is wicked.

Don't forget Salmon University has downloadable contour maps you can print out and take with you .  Not sure where you could get laminating acetate to cover and waterproof them.
Why so many odd typos ? You try typing on 6 mm virtual keys with 26 mm thumbs....

This is an interesting link sowing tide patterns in Puget Sound based on Seattle tide movement.  This one shows currents on the Nisqually delta area by the green can.  You can change the number in "part4.pdf" to get other locations (I don't have a log, I just switch and see what I get until I get what I want.)

http://nsgl.gso.uri.edu/washu/washuc77001/washuc77001_part4.pdf

Sailboats use these to avoid strong currents and I've used it when plotting long sea kayak paddles.  Sometimes a difference of  50 feet one way or the other makes a big difference in true ground speed. Just another arrow in the quiver.

Good luck at the green can, I couldn't resist an attempt up north and will put in Anacortes and fish the east side of Guemes Island from about 9-noon.

It was a nice paddle but long way. Ended up with someone taking my crab pot as well. Was surprised to catch 3 fairly large rock fish in 60 fow and my downrigger marking at 30 feet through schools of baitfish. No salmon. Good place to launch but...
Wish I would have gon to the green can.

I've tried twice about 2 hours each side of a moderate high tide with no luck, but saw a few nets out.  I was told by a salty looking kayaker that low slack was best.  Tides this weekend look a little frisky at about 13 feet and a low toward noonish. Not sure I can make it at all this weekend, but wondering what other have found?
