So, just a quick update on how we did in this tourny.

NWKA1 finished in 11th place.. pretty good but we will do better this year.

top individual angler was coosbayyaker   ;D at 14th place.

NWKA1 finished 14th in total inches which is damn good considering all the freakin stripers those east coasters catch...

we have three anglers in the top 15 of kayak gold man points(they draw for the revo from these).

5th   cby 47
12th yaksurf 34
tied 15th  Fungnn 33
rawkfish has 15 and spot has 10

so a bunch of us have a chance at good prizes!

i lost track of how team 2 did as they slid down the leaderboard...they need anglers

This sounds like a challenge ...where do we sign up ?
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

So, what exactly is Kayak Wars and how does it work?  Kind of like AOTY, or something else?  Us newbies need some explanations.

Congratulations!

The Kayak Wars website kind of sucks.  Where are the overall standings, both angler and team?  Except for freshwater all I can find are the regional team standings.

Right on.  I think a Columbia River sturgeon would take 1st in the freshwater category....and a big triploid trout from Rufus Woods would sneer at that 23" trout listed.
Never underestimate the ability of our policymakers to fail to devise and implement intelligent policy

For some reason the points and standings for individuals are gone just the standings on the home page remain.

It has the records:

There was no overall category listed i don't think

For finishing first in the west we each got a nice pair of Hobie sunglasses and a two pack of rod/paddle leashes from yak-gear. ( i shipped those yesterday guys)

We also got a nice certificate for finishing first.

I got another prize for finishing first as an individual which happened to be another pair of spendy sunglasses...LOL, i am hell on sunglasses so i guess having an extra pair is ok. Got one pair on the "what i've lost from my kayak" list already so i got some hemp shade leashes with a cork on 'em this time! Could come in handy if i ever got lost at sea too... 8)

Pretty damn sweet for free!
