Title: Introductions
Post by: Username_Unavailable on February 02, 2024, 11:22:38 AM
Wish to say I'm some amazing fisher or kayaker but the truth of this topic is that I am neither. I have fished and I own a kayak, both activities I enjoy. I set up a downrigger on my hobie and have yet to catch a thing. I live about 45min south of Portland and have learned that having a child really changes the prospect of "free time."  (Nothing about fishing in a kayak has hinted at being free, so clearly it can't occupy "free time". Am I right?)

Although I'm an Oregon native, I have yet to catch a salmon or steelhead (not for lack of trying). And I've had grandiose ideas that ocean fishing could be fun as well... yet here I sit, pole in hand, fish still in the sea.

Open to ideas, suggestions, and invitations to join up for a fishing trip. Doesn't have to be anything big. Even a local lake is good in my book.

Talk about having five kids and "free time" here :-) Watch for open invites during summer months. Both Pacific City and Depoe Bay get pretty busy during calm ocean days.
