Title: Hello from a first time kayaker.
Post by: DRUBACK on January 02, 2024, 06:53:11 PM
I've been watching and reading about kayak angling for several months now. I mentioned that to my son a few months go and went a bought a Hobie Compass and let me try it out and so here am the proud owner of a brand new Outback (I got a smoking deal from Chase at Oregon Paddle Sports). I hope I didn't break a rule there.
I has been said the most sociable thin about me is disease, but I will probably seed advice getting outfitted and rigged.
Thanks for letting me in.

Welcome. What fish are you targeting? I have only taken the kayak down to the Glide area a few times. I really want to try Ford pond once bass fishing picks up this spring.

I bought a new Outback to primarily fish the coast starting @ Sunset Bay. So I guess its my fault for the Giant Surf :( and the glorious rain. I plan to hit Diamond Lake once the ice is off, and Cooper Creek (Southerlin) To get my sea legs and maybe  some Bass. I don't think I am the only one anxious for spring.
