Recently sold my PA14 and purchased a new Outback...looking to learn more about Saltwater Kayak fishing.

Welcome to the NWKA Shortstriker.  Why the switch from the PA14 to the Outback?  Both are nice rides.

I had actually ordered a 2021 PA12 from Next Adventure. In the months I waited to get it, due to Covid backorder, I did more research, and realized how much more the PAs weighed. I ended up changing  my order to the Outback, and am glad I did. I wouldn't want anything heavier than what I have now. I've fished with guys that have PAs, and seen how much more effort it takes for them to get anywhere, especially in wind and swell. Killer boats, lots of room and great features, just so heavy n bulky. There's days when I have traveled many miles out on the ocean with guys that have lighter boats like Revos, and start to get envious of how light and swift they are.
