The Homer ADFG reports this week that there has been a good King salmon bite south of Bluff Point in the past week. That is a change from a bit earlier when the fish were farther north.

Some of you may not know that the old "traditional" launch beach at the end of the Spit is no longer available. It got filled in with Land's End lodging buildings. So the beach next to the ferry terminal is the only convenient spot now to launch near the end of the Spit.
