Had a great turnout at the seminar.  Got to test drive the PA
Had my son test the stability.  Pretty stable! lol.

It gives me the creeps when I see a fishing kayak with the seat set in a high position.  When I'm in a kayak, I want my butt to be as close to the keel as possible, for maximum stability.

Yah, I am sticking to my outback.  I always looked at that high seat and thought...hmmm...tippy.  But at least in this type of water, it's pretty dang stable.

here's a video of my son using the outback as a paddle board...

Ryu appears to have a wet drysuit in the PA stability test video.
He's a pretty agile kid and looks like he's having fun.

Very observant.  But he never did fall out of the PA or the Outback in these stand up tests.  He had just got done with doing a re-entry demo for the folks who were there as well as having me dragging him around on the PA while he held on to the back handles.  I think he was "in" the water more than on the beach on this day.

He was testing every piece of gear that they had available including this...Hobie needs to make one...with a mirage drive....lol.

Ryu explaining how to operate the Hobie Outback to a person who had never tried a Sit on top kayak.

those videos are so fun to watch, I love the times that I go out and test a boat's stability and behavior, it is great to see how good your son is on those boats and how much fun he is having.
