Our Heroes On the Water chapter put smiles on the faces of deserving Veterans and their families in 2014.

We want to say THANK YOU to our awesome VOLUNTEERS that generously gave their time and energy to turn out and make sure events were safe, fun, and fishy for all.

We also could not have done it without the generosity of so many WONDERFUL INDIVIDUAL DONORS and AWESOME SPONSORS! A few we would like to mention.

John & Langston at Kayak Shed raised a lot clams for the cause and we had a lot of FUN at the Bonneville Bass Bonanza. Then they went above and beyond with the Kokatat drysuit fundraiser.

Our good friend Coosbayyaker generously donated the proceeds from the Sunset Bay Angler Of The Day competition and capped it off with a monster gear raffle for HOW.

Cabela's always came through for us with tackle for events and great prizes that helped us raise money at numerous tournaments.

Sportsmen's Warehouse was fantastic with tackle for events and hooked us up a great deal on a pop up shelter to give Warriors a respite from the weather (and to keep the donuts dry).

Pro-Cure Bait Scents helped us catch more fish, they can help you too!

Last but not least we would like to thank the kind folks at Next Adventure and NorthwestKayakAnglers.com as they were gracious enough to let us carb load the Oregon Rockfish Classic competitors and fans with spaghetti dinner at Chinook Bend.

So begins another year and we hope to see all of our fantastic volunteers back with us in 2015. If you have been on the fence about volunteering maybe this will be your year to come out and help Veterans reconnect through kayak fishing?

So while we wait for the weather to improve before the HOW event season begins again we will all sure be glad to be back at the 2015 Pacific Northwest Sportsmen's Show. Would you like to help Heroes On the Water with some community outreach? Would you like to do a shift in the booth and get free show admission? Come on out to the Expo Center February 4th-8th. We'll be in booth #458 around back by the old trout pond. Sign up for a time slot below.

Sincere thanks,

HOW OR 2015

Why don't you put me down for 1-3 PM Wed, Thursday, and Friday for simplicity.

That is a fantastic response. Thanks to everybody that offered to come out for HOW!

Anybody else want to join in the peace, love, and happiness at the Expo Center? Here's our obligatory ^bump^.

Thanks for the volunteer opportunity! Is there a certain place that we should check-in at the show?

Yes! Go to the will call/exhibitor check in. It is inside the building next to the main entrance beyond the little restaurant.

On site parking is $8 last time I checked. If the lot is full there is $5 parking at Portland Meadows and a shuttle to the Expo.

Much gratitude goes out to Steve, Scott, Sam, Dennis, Tyler, Nate, Sherman, Dino and Dulce for helping staff our booth. The crowds were gigantic and we connected with more Veterans than ever before. We made a ton of great contacts with exhibitors and thanks to the generosity of the show goers we were able to raise $400 for HOW!

We are looking forward to an awesome season of fishing with all our old friends and the new folks we met at the show. Hope to see you on the water with us.

Anthony
