It's that time of year again, Alder Creek is hosting there paddle festival in a couple weeks and they've invited NWKA to set up a booth.  I've commited myself to help out with setting up/taking down the Ocean Kayak booth
already, but I'd love to have an NWKA booth again this year.

However, in order to have an NWKA booth we're going to need some volunteers to man it.  The booth will consist of a simple table and some NWKA informational materials as well as any rigged fishing kayaks people want to bring to set up.   There should be some down time and you can test out a bunch of other kayaks or even take a class or two.

Please let me know if you want to volunteer.  I'm envisioning two shifts (8am-noon, noon-4pm) each day and I'm hoping we can get a couple people for each shift.

Here's the Alder Creek website about the event..

I've already promised Jason that I'll be there on Saturday the 24th.
I'll bring a rigged kayak again and I'd be happy to host a class.

I'll probably have the boys with me too and I'm sure that they'd be happy to wear their NWKA T-Shifts and talk with people about kayak fishing also.  ;D

I did this last year, and it was a lot of fun.  TONS of boats to try out, and the schwag can be nice.  Highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it back this year. I'll be at Salishan for a conference on Friday and Saturday. I plan on staying on an extra night to spend Sunday fishing the salt or a friendly coastal river.  ;D

Sounds like I have a couple people for Saturday which is great.  Is there anyone out there that can help out for a few hours on Sunday?

I'll have a rigged kayak or two there and the gig is otherwise pretty easy.  People come around and ask you silly questions and you smile and give passionate answers about the sport you love.

Chuck,

I thought you were coming on Saturday already?  If you can/want to help out that would be great.
