Title: Nisqually flatties
Post by: codeman on December 02, 2017, 08:32:03 PM
Looking for any recent reports out of Luhr landing. Have pretty decent tides on thurs, and as of right now, weather looking good. I have never fished out of here in winter, but have read good things. Every where else ive tried in winter (boston harbor, redondo, steilacoom) have always been really slow. All those places are fantastic in summer, so fish must either move out beyond 120ft depth, or be too sluggish. Ive done well in summer time too out of luhr, but dont usually mess with it as the tidal swing is brutal in this area. At the other area mentioned above, I can fish all the way through the tides. At luhr, I generally launch right before high tide, fish the slack by the pylons, let the out going drag me over to the far eastern bank, and take a break while the tides slow down. Fish over there during the low slack, then let the incoming carry me back to the launch.
