I will have to bow out of this tournament...my folks decided to come visit from Washington.

Barbie will not be happy, but we'll wet her line another day.

I wish I could go. I am currently waiting for some rudder pins to get to me. Sounds like a blast though.

Hobie rudder pins?  Alaska Raft and Kayak had a dozen or so on order last time I checked.  Call them.

Weather looking marginal for Saturday....  But who knows.  I'll be somewhere fishing!

Have the 'butts been getting bigger as the summer progresses?  I hear that's the case...but since this is my first summer I have yet to find out first hand.

They have been getting smaller and fewer of them. That shouldn't be happening. I think it's just a lull between the herring hooligan run and salmon runs. Id say numbers are down slightly. Average size down more. But still plenty of fish to be caught!!! Way to christen the boat ripndrag!

Hoping the forecast holds and Sunday looks good ....  WINDY in Kenai / Soldotna today - even hail yesterday and today in areas.   Ugly weather!

Still have my fully rigged Barbie pole.   Spare Avenger in the truck... Now for some good luck going into e weekend.   Dad may be home by SAT.  😃

I will likely fish Sunday at WG. Will likely try the Kenai for dipnetting or maybe kings on Saturday. This is based on current weather. I think it'll be fishable but marginal with surf on Saturday.  If anyone hears down early, please post conditions. .

Lookin like Sunday is our best bet this weekend we will count all kayak fish for tomorow and Sunday biggest combined limit of halibut taken with Barbie rods wins. I have a harpoon for first place.and am getting trophys made when we know who the top 3 are

Still too rough to fish. But it is calming down. We will see what low tide brings in a couple hours.

WG update, 3-4' with winds about 15. Heavy white caps and a forecast calling for increase in wind and 6' seas this afternoon.
