I just found out about a problem with AOTY this morning, it's not allowing people to enter new fish.   I looked into it and would you believe it's Twitter's fault. I use the Twitter API to populate the Twitter and Facebook feeds from AOTY.  Anyway, they changed the terms of service on my and I need to reconfigure some things to get it to work again.  Until then the Twitter failure is causing a general upload error.

I'll post back here when I get it fixed.

I saw the message last night when I uploaded a fish.  I was surprised though to find that the entry was accepted and posted.  Looking over some other recent entries, it appears that they're showing up as well.

No one (other than "The Nothing") actually uses the Twitter feed. However, the twitter feed feeds the Facebook feed and there are a few people who seem to like that.   The fix isn't too hard, I just need to do it.

Spot, thanks for pointing out that the entries are actually being made.  I still need to sit down and debug this whole issue.  At this point I've only read the error logs.

i'd assume it has something to do with Twitter's API changes...

I think I fixed the issue, but I'm having problems restarting the application so the fix hasn't shown up yet.  I'll have to talk to Bill the server god at NCKA to see if he can help with the restart.
