Finally made a trip to Seward, AK to do some kayak fishing. My brother and I were able to get out. My brother rented a kayak for the two days. A OK prowler 15 worked great! The two days were only calling for 2 ft seas and the breeze didn't get over 15 mph the whole 2 days! Saw Kardinal_84 out and about in his Hobie! Got to see his yelloweye. Nice!

First fish of the day was a small rockfish trolling out to the halibut fishing area, that I threw back. My brother and I had found a dead small silver on the bank when we took a break and decided to use the head as bait for halibut. My bro puts that on and about a half an hour later gets bit and lands a nice 10 pound halibut! After that took about another hour and a half messing with the drift socks that worked awesome, for me to hook into and land a 27 pound halibut!

Didn't get any silver salmon on the way out there or back both days. The next day we head out late but the weather was still great just a light rain that lasted all day. Caught a small p cod trolling for silvers and a small rockfish that I threw back again. Kept the pcod for bait. Cut it in half and give the other half to my bro. Unfortunately for my brother he didn't get any fish the second day! I ended up catching my biggest halibut from a kayak yet! 29 pounds! It was a awesome fight!

Green with envy!  Great job!  Great to meet you and your bro.

Had a board meeting, everything worked out amazingly well so I am packing and headed off today.  Try for silvers in part to get bait and the derby and then Sunday after the derby ends, I wanna be like dudemandude and get me one of those!!!

Great report, all I got this week is blackberry bush wounds and lots of pie this winter. Not a bad deal I guess.

   dudemandude,
Nice butt.I'll bet that took you for a ride...
Too bad you didn't get any silvers but you still have plenty of time to change that.Go get em.
Now you gotta watch out for kardina_84.He's really competative.Ain't that right Rudy ?
Just kidding........he's a kick to fish with.........gets very excited and has fun doing it.
Again-good job Brandon.See ya at Tarmac one of these days.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Nice fish guys...
That teal Prowler 15 looks familiar, I'm glad to hear that it worked out. See you next time.
