Does anyone know how I can fix the pictures that keep loading side ways?  Or can Admin rotate them?  I have tried to rotate them on my phone and they still come out on their side.

Mojo says to resize them slightly and that will correct it.
Everything will be all right in the end, so if it's not all right, then it's not yet the end.

Cool trailer, can you tell us anything about it?

I Bought a used 6 1/2 x 8 light weight trailer off of Craigslist.  It had the wood floor and mess metal sides.  My design allows for the wooden framework to be removed and set on the ground as one piece, so that I can use the trailer as a utility trailer if needed.  But 99% of the time its sole purpose is as a kayak trailer.  My son has a flatbed trailer I can use anytime for the other duties.  I put new hub assemblies on the axle, new tires and wheels.  I had 36" added to the tongue length to allow for 90 degree turning in tight areas.  Framed with pressure treated 2x4's with extra bracing.  The cargo area is covered with 3/4 plywood that has about 4 coats of sealant and then I glued and screwed down the indoor/outdoor carpet.

Cool - I didn't realize the upper was lumber. I'm assuming metal bracing on the crossbars? Just guessing based on the ability to hold that much weight. Bet you'll put a lot of kayak-miles on that thing!

The main supports are 2x4's.  I then measured how high I wanted each cross bar and cut 2x4's that are screwed to the main 2x4.  The cross bar then sits on top of that as it acts like a solid support.  I used 2 lag bolts and screws to mount the crossbars.  Then because my design is meant to be removed, I ran 2 2x4's length wise that also go under the upright for added weight capacity and movement.  What is no visible is the end uprights are sitting on top of a 4x6 box that puts the whole rack above the wheel wells.  If we have a single tag along the kayak will be centered on the top rack and if we hae 2 tag alongs the 2 lightest kayaks will be on the top.  The 2 smaller kayaks shown in the picture
are 50lbs.  I do have some metal brackets in a few key areas but they are no visible in the pics.  I will add support if I see any signs of concern.

I forgot to add the cargo box itself is framed with 2x10 which the upright are secured to.
