4-10" Big Hammer or similar swimbaits on 2-4oz triangle head jigs. I prefer natural colors.

Berkley Gulp Saltwater Grub on 2-4oz bullet head jigs. Lots of colors work and sometimes it's fun to drop one of the funky colors and see what happens. I've turned around slow days by trying odd colors. There are also other shapes besides the grub that have produced well, but the grub is my favorite.

Those two setups plus Lancer jigs have accounted for 80% of my saltwater fish.

I do like to mix it up, though, and it's fun to try new things. One enjoyable thing to do is clear out your old half-used freshwater soft plastics, make a few dropper loop rigs, and fish misc. bass lures.

I love those butterknife jigging spoons!!! Stocking this idea in the vault for winter garage projects. Where did you get the reflective stickers?

I wonder if you could use a cheese knife for a kokanee sized spoon? (Halfway joking but kind of not joking)

Idea for the hollow knives - fill the voids with molten lead so that you could fish them a little deeper?

Thanks for the inspiration!!!

The reflective tape was from the BiMart fishing department. They came in 2" x 6" strips (IIRC).

I like those yellow feathered jigs. I had only fished with bait up until  a commercial fisherman in my hometown handed me two jigs like the two on top. It was an eye opener and I had a banner day off the jetty. The bottom pic was probably about 1969. No limits or license required in salt water in those days. The bottom two are "omilu jigs" I picked up in Hawaii and they work great on rockfish although they are kind of light weight.
