From the bit of looking I've done in the ODFW book, I can't  seem to find any info on whether or not stream/river fishing for kokes is allowed, and if so what regulations are in place.

I think it would be a blast to fish from shore, for 12"+ kokes, with ultra light spinning, or especially fly gear, when migrate up into the rivers n streams.

Has anyone done this, or know if it's allowed?
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

I tried it once with a tenkara rod for Kokes that had just entered the stream at the head of Wallowa lake. No takers, but a host from the state park told me I could fish there for them and I told him he was wrong as I had the regs on me and there were no closures on that stream.  I dont think there is anything blanket that you cant fish for kokes on the spawn.  There is probably some ethics involved depending on the condition of the population in the lake.
