Anyone else looking at conditions and considering chasing salmon this weekend? PC or Depot/Fogarty. Looks fishable and if I read the regulations correctly it is two salmon, wild or hatchery, but only 1 Chinook?

No wind up the Columbia this weekend which is also very tempting. Buddy smoked 'em at the mouth of Drano this morning in a PB.

I'm definitely looking at a Fogarty run this Saturday. It'll either be there or up around the Duwamish looking for pinks. Still trying to decide between the two, but with the non-select coho season (and the option of one chinook) it's a pretty easy choice.

I bet the fishing will be excellent around Drano as well though. Personally, I'm planning to head up there after work one (or two) days next week. The weekend crowds when the fishing is good is a little much for me.

Would be nice to make it to Depoe sunday but family duties call...taking Monday off to fish but looks like the ocean will be unsettled. Thinking maybe Drano, but have never done that rodeo OR mouth of the lewis/bubble since the big river is closed.

planning on Fogarty on Saturday and PC on Sunday. Both days look nice

Planning to do some bottom fishing mainly, but going to have the salmon tackle out for a while too.  Have only brought one small wild fish to the boat this year.   Need to fill up some those empty tag slots.

Depoe Bay
Out at 170-180 there was a lot of seaweed about even with Government Point.
Lost the first two fish.
Went out to 200 feet and the water cleaned up, no bites.
Went back to 180 and got one, an hour later the other.
Hoochie behind chrome/green shortbus flasher.

Going again tomorrow.

Thanks that sounds like a blast. I am trying to angle for the ocean Sunday, but with 8 1 week old piglets it is hard to get away. Going to the mouth of the Lewis in the morning. It has been pretty crazy good and a lot closer. Look forward to more pics

Nice work!!  I opted for the Lewis and Columbia. 1 for 7  >:(. Lost two BIG up river brights right at the boat. 1 smallish coho to show for 7 hours of grinding. Today was the best bite I have seen just up river from the Lewis. Fish on all day.

Fished Depoe Friday PM, Fogarty Sat, and PC Sunday.   No salmon for me, but caught a ton of rockfish, several ling a couple Cabs and a Halibut.  My first ever Halibut even if it wasn't huge, Makes. my weekend.

PC was stuffed with rockfish.  Having a hard time even getting a lure to the bottom for kings.  Sand was also very soft, lots of doroes getting stuck on the way out

My SUV smells really bad right now, time to start cleaning some stuff

2.5-3 miles NW off Fogarty.  Complete Luck.  SDOR and I were fishing an area he'd caught some big ling at before and this thing showed up.
