I went snorkeling and spearfishing on Seeley Lake and whacked six pike.

That's awesome!! Back home in Minnesota we spear them thru the ice. Pike must be one of the few freshwater fish legal for dive spearing. And they are my favorite freshwater species to fry up.

I've also speared pike through the ice, but don't find it as fun as speargunning them.  I find sitting in a dark hut staring at a hole in the ice ("watching Norwegian television") somewhat tedious.  But snorkeling and speargunning pike is quite sporting.  Sneaking around in a weed bed trying to blast pike is kind of like a cross between hunting whitetails in a thicket and jumpshooting birds.
