Is anyone fishing the ocean this friday? At least the predictions for Kiwanda are small surf and low wind.

Forecast looks great. The crabs are just waiting at PC for me, getting fatter and sweeter. But, transportation issues and work issues are keeping me home.
For those who go out, post some reports for the rest of us saps.

I’m hoping to be fishing PC Friday.  I haven’t finalized any plans yet, but that is the direction I am leaning.

The conditions all look great to me, but the one area of caution I will throw out, is that low tide is just after 6am.  There have been weird sand bars this year and even on calm days, you will have to punch through several sets of breakers before getting to the calm water.  It is mostly just a problem near low tide.

The landing should be good mid day/ early afternoon.

I will probably launch a little later than normal just to try to avoid the low tide breakers.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Nobaddays, what time do you think you would launch like 7?  Debating about going to the mouth of the lewis now since that has been kicking out a ton of fish it seems, but I also havent made it in the ocean yet this year...

Looking at the cam the past two days, it seems like fog is going to be an issue in the morning too.

I'm  also planning on either PC or Fogarty in the morning. Leaning toward pc.  A later launch sounds good to me too.
What launch time are you guys thinking?

Kind of what I figured.  I know the crabbing has been good in bays, any recent reports from PC?

I will likely try launching around 8am tomorrow.  I fished PC last week and did pick up one salmon, but I might just have been lucky.  Most reports I have heard recently, the salmon have been quite a ways out.  Crabbing has been really good in both the bay and the ocean.
