I was thinking about getting a comfortable highback seat for my SOT.  This is the one i was about to order online before thinking that I should ask you all first.

http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&=&q=GTS+Elite+Seat&aq=f&aqi=g1g-v1g-b2&aql=&oq=#q=GTS+Elite+Seat&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=NAgBTpzeM5DKiALdtfCtCA&ved=0CFcQrQQ&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=5e9136281e45989e&biw=1254&bih=817

Any of you have experience with this seat?  Any recommendations of a different seat that i should be looking at?

Thanks in advance.

I used that seat for a long time.  I attached an inflatable butt pad to the seat with bungee chord.  It was heaven to sit in!  I could easily sit 6+ hours no problem in that setup.

First I had the GTS Expedition now I have the Elite.  There is not a better a seat on the market imo.

Surf To Summit makes great seats. I personally use the GTS Pro (2" thick seat pad & 15" tall backrest), but the Elite is excellent as well.

My highly biased 2 cents (Surf To Summit dealer)

I started with the opinion that more padding = more good.  But after using the GTS Expedition for a while it felt funny to me.  I felt like i was sitting up way high in my yak and was losing some stability.  I loaned it to a friend without saying anything and they came back with the same impressions.  Obviously this is opinion as many people love the thick seats and have no issues whatsoever with them.  But it is something you might wanna keep in mind.

I bought the GTS elite last week before ORC. I had zero problems, comfortable, no aches or pains.  I wish it had some lumbar adjustments, but honestly it didnt need it.

Thank you all for your input.  I went ahead and made the purchase as a B-Day present to myself.  Kindof wish i didn't live in B.F.E. so i could have it before this Fridays trip.  Oh well, I'll have it the rest of the summer. :)

I'll repost once I try it out to let any others curious know how it feels.

Thanks again.
