Went out OTW yesterday and took a photo of my current setup. I usually run a Scotty Rocket Launcher on my left and a GoPro Boom Stick on my right next to the FF. The Ball mount is for my Raymarine FF.

Ok guys I got a used track that has a busted cross piece of inadequate plastic on the underside in the middle. Pictures to come. It was donated by an NWKA member that don’t post much and fished P.C. yesterday. I’ll see about getting the machine shop here and my steel shop to see about a plate versus a machined aluminum replacement. How many of you guys would be interested to keep the cost per piece lower ( I know it’s hard to say without a price) but if it’s reasonably like $30-$50 who would be interested?

I may be interested but of course it would depend more to me on the design than the actual costs, assuming it looked and worked great. Thanks for looking into this. I think more and more 2019 Outback folks are going to encounter this issue if they put their gear tracks under stress.

The donated rail is at my local steel shop, we’re thinking 10 gauge aluminum that will have 3 tabs on both side lengths that will be pressed down like a crown to help keep the plastic from spreading underneath. The holes will be countersunk and the slots will closely match the current gear track (rounded corners instead of angled). He said if we get 10 or more interested he can keep it at or under $50 each piece so ~$100 if you want both sides.... now can someone confirm that both sides are an exact match IE they are interchangeable and not side specific?

So 1 piece ,10 gauge aluminum, countersunk holes with 3 tabs bent down on the inside and out for $50 or > ....... who would be interested? Once we get enough interest he will fab one up for a preview photo.

I'm not sure if the same part works for both sides. I wold think Hobie would have designed to to work interchangeably but I again, I am not certain.
