Title: Sharks, kayaks, and fish on stringers - drone video
Post by: pmmpete on October 17, 2022, 07:57:03 AM
Here's an interesting drone video showing interactions between large sharks and kayaks, in particular kayaks dragging fish on a stringer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpkuR4UuXVs.

Amazing. The fear of seals and sharks have caused me to always put my catch in a kill bag, never over the side. But they sure seemed more docile than I expected.

Cackalacky supplied a couple of links about shark attacks on kayaks a couple years ago:

https://www.northcoastjournal.com/NewsBlog/archives/2020/08/29/kayaker-shares-harrowing-shark-scare

https://kymkemp.com/2020/05/25/kayaker-relates-details-of-terrifying-shark-attack-in-shelter-cove-this-morning/

A lot of the discussion on the forum was about what color do the sharks seem to prefer.......  Yellow seemed to be the winner  :D
