Somehow I got this as an email from admin@northwestkayakanglers?

I'm seriously considering buying one of these, but I have a couple questions.
I have a 2013 Outback, same size as the AP, 12 foot.
In the videos I've seen there appears to be a lot of room between your feet and the motor.
Are these videos done by Hobbits or is there actually that much room?
It would make crabbing so much easier.
The other question is salmon fishing, going out of Depoe.
Looking at my tracking it appears each trip where I caught salmon took about 10 miles.  3+ out, trolling and 3+ back.
With a quality 100Ah lithium battery is this feasible?
I'd prefer not to paddle.  Did that at Tillamook, sucked even with the tide and Shannon helping.

Thanks,
Patrick

Patrick - I just switched from my second Outback (which I still have) to the AP120. Loving it so far. To your questions.

There is a TON of room between you and the motor which makes a lot of things easier. Have not had it out crabbing yet, but plenty of room for my McKay traps.

Have not had it out of Depot and probably have a decent clue where you fish. Have not made long runs at full power, but have trolled 6 hours on the Columbia and at Merwin a few times and have still had 60% left on a 100ah lithium.

One of my favorite things about the AP is you can do several things at the same time and continue to fish.

Once I take it out of PC a couple of times without a yard sale I will likely sell the Outback. Pretty sure I will back it in like I do with the Outback in heavy surf.

Saw a guy on FB in Vancouver got his garage burgled. His AP motor and a mirage drive were taken. Keep an eye out.

One downside! I was going to get after AOTY in '22, but read the rules and the AP120 is not allowed. Bit of a bummer, but may just keep my personal score.
