Anyone want to join me (weather pending) for the opener April 22 at Laurence lake out of Parkdale? Main menu is Bull trout (C&R) and rainbows. Beautiful lake with epic views.

Not to rain on your parade (and it is a very nice and pretty lake plus no powerboats!), but I think it's closed for the year. I forget where I saw the original article, but there's this one too:

It was on the ODFW Recreation report:

Lost would be a good stand in. Similar view. Rainbows, Kokes and big Browns.

I didn't know there were Kokes up in Lost Lake on hood. I have only been there once but it seemed like mostly bank anglers and if you started the troll game or went out farther in the lake it was easy to do well.

Just bought my license today with plans for multiple trips to Laurance. Oh Well.

Hmmm well hell. Thanks guys I looked 2 weeks ago and they still had it as open as of the 22nd. O well new plan. Walleye!

Whats up. Let us know when you find good Walleye water. Ill try and meet up.

Got to thinking about the Bull trout in Laurence and wondering how ODFW is going to handle the draw down. As they are protected in this watershed, are they going to remove them to other lakes, let them die, or are the workers going to take them home for dinner? The topo show that it is really deep near the dam and this will probably the area left with water. But isn't this where they will be working? I wonder how many years to recover? Lots of questions...

They were fluvial to begin with so I imagine ODFW won't do anything and let them live out the dam improvements in Pinnacle Creek or the Clear Branch of the Hood.

There are still kokanee in there? Everyone I ever talk to said they have been non existent for years.
