Title: Got the new yak in the salt for the first time.
Post by: trout slayer on July 21, 2021, 07:43:50 AM
After many years pulling by hand sitting side saddle in a Pescador 12, I couldn't pass up a deal on an Ultimate FX 13 Propel. The Scotty Pot Puller was worth the investment as well, especially out here where I fish between 130'-150' and I keep two 200' shots spooled on electrical cord reels that can fit under my seat. Keeps everything tidy and comfortable. The pontoons are a retrofit as they were originally meant for a Current Designs Tailfin. Not always necessary, but when the wind picked up and some curlers rolling at you while pulling gear, it was nice to have them. Solar panel is coming next just to be on the safe side, otherwise 2 days of pulling pots and it held up like a champ.
