Hello,

Newbie kayak angler here from Vancouver Canada, was hoping to use this channel and connect with other peeps here!

Just picked up a Point 65 Tequila Angler version last year and have went out a couple times.  So I am slowly getting more experience.

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome GB to the NWKA forum.  Lots of great people and knowledge here.  I hope to spend quite a bit of time in the pacific NW when I retire including the Vancouver region.  Quite beautiful in your neck of the woods.

Nice to see another local yak fisher on here. What kinds of fishing do you like to do most?

Hi DBam, first couple times I was just out there doing soles/greenling with squid at around 50-60ft depth.
I have since picked up some buzzbomb and hoping to get out to the 120ft depth to try for the winter chinook.
Basically I'd do anything, it's just to get out of the house.
How about you?  How far do you usually go out?

Sounds like maybe you're going right out of Vancouver/UBC? I stick to trolling flies around Merritt/Kamloops area 4x4 lakes and maybe the odd salt trip on VI. I hate crowds. I might be down for greenling and sole if they're not too close to English Bay or the jetti.

Would people be up for starting up a when/where/what thread for open invite outings?
