exactly, bottom fishing open all year is very important to many of us.  For me, December is when I plan to be hunting for big lingcod in lower CoosBay and pulling up limits of big full crab there also.  C&Ring lingcod is just not my thing, eating them is.

I'm just blame-shifting, Cap'n.  The last time I competed in AOTY was the year ODFW closed the bottomfish season... it's obvious I'm a jinx.  :o
