Hey, just trying to get timing stuff sorted out so that I can make plans to maximize my fishy time on the water.

My research indicates that the best times for Pinks & Ocean Coho for MA10 are:
Pinks: First couple weeks in August
Ocean Coho: First couple weeks in September

Does this jibe w/ others' experience?

That's pretty much in line with the historical creel reports. That said, I caught an 8lb hatchery coho in area 11 the first week of August a couple of years ago while jigging for chinook in 40' of water.

Coho are still around in good numbers into early October, but last week of August through September is primetime.

Nice to see there's somebody left who knows it's "jibe" and not "jive".

Second week of September for Coho

Third week of August for pinks, with the caveat I explained in the email. Pink run timing is also more variable than the other species. LOESS drawing the negative CPUE.

Pretty sure bogue was counting on him showing up with something like that!

I was gonna link a youtube video of the 'jive' scene from Airplane!, but I'm not sure it really jibes with the values of our present day society... Thanks also for your experience with the timing of these runs - much appreciated!

Thank you -- I could not reasonably ask for better insight into which time periods I should most closely guard for fishing.

BINGO! I'da been happy to muck around w/ some data files, but I'm very grateful that WH made the time to create these graphs.

Edit to add: Pinks are showing up in MA10; noob noob nailed a nice one & a PB nailed another this morning. I only caught seaweed... yum!
