It's time for someone to unseat rogerdodger's picture of the month. Let's see those grip'n'grins! I know with all this good ocean weather you guys have some pictures.

CnR'd this pretty gal about a month ago. The bite, fight, and landing were amazing. Stripers are arguably my favorite sportfish. And yes, she was landed in Oregon  8).

Not this one!  Please, not a picture of a striper/wiper.  Pretty please?  That guy I fish with is already too obsessed with stripers and I'd like it if we didn't spend the year hunting for them.

Just kidding.  That's a great fish - and hugely photogenic.  I can tolerate another year of striper-hunting if it comes to that.  Well done!
I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...

I totally agree, I keep checking peoples fishing reports and hoping to see the next picture of the month. Pepper and I getting that chinook on the ocean was fantastic but we have been up way too long....

Thanks for the props, guys. That fish was the result of many trips this spring, figuring out Oregon stripers. The OR fish are tougher to catch than the CA varieties. They're moody and fickle buggers most of the time...but also reckless and aggressive at others. I learned a ton chasing them this year, and am excited to get back on them this fall, after I catch some salmon for the freezer and smoker  ;D.

You mean Badger? As much as I'd love to have him with me here, the odds of an emergency vet visit are too high. Striper fishing involves way too many treble hooks  :D.

Got this beauty in Oregon City. It looks like this fish had an encounter with a fur bag as it has some old teeth marks.

Love Clayman's striper but no kayak, no love!  ;D

That beast salmon photo is great, too - nice catch!

But I think it's got to be the halibut this time - congrats on that!
