Title: Whiskey Gulch 4/15/17
Post by: erickblim on April 16, 2017, 12:12:35 AM
So the skunk earlier this week didnt sit well with me...made a last minute decision to go back down today to try and redeem myself.  Fishfinder didnt work today but I tried to fish a little deeper, Using the navionics app I was roughly in 50 feet.  Drifted until I was just about even with the edge of the bluffs and caught a litltle chicken.  On the way back in, I started trolling for kings very near the north anchor point boundary in roughly 40 feet...hooked into a king that got off at the kayak.  Re-baited and hooked into another about 30 sec later...the second one a little bigger than the first.   King weighed 13.3 on the bathroom scale, stomach was empty

Oh yeah! Congrats on the nice catches. I believe you are the first this season to break the ice on both a flattie and a king from WG that I've heard of. If there wasn't any egg skeins or milt sac it was probably a feeder as there are a lot of them in the Anchor Point area.

Way to kick off Spring. You may start a stampede.

Nice. Congrats.

That picture makes me think about how old the fish in my freezer is. Time to reload the fridge.
