No salmon. Paddled around 6 miles checking fish finder sporadically, picked up very few possible salmon icons on the screen.
The Pollock were biting very well, so we had a blast catching those. Location of schools: straight out from the monument-  just out of shore casting distance - in 90-140 ft of water.  Also caught two ling cod which put up a nice fight, and two flounder. Will start trolling for salmon soon, but it probably would not have been productive this trip. There are also several huge schools of baitfish, disturbed only by the gulls. Could not get any action under or around the schools save one 10" cod that snagged himself.  Just some info....Will.

Thanks for the report!  Last year the baitfish around this time of year were big schools of salmon smolt.

You'd think there'd be sonething taking advantage of that good source other than birds.
