Well I finally got around to finishing the video for this epic day. This was a remarkable day with lots of fish (though I forgot to turn on my GoPro for most of them) and LOTS of whales. I think they thought it was funny surfacing close to us and scaring the smelly jelly out of us! ;D
This was my first attempt at using VSDC so it's not my best video. I decided to leave the original audio in since it was pretty funny at times hearing us (by us, I mean me) screaming and giggling like a little school girl when one surfaces near us.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the video. I have yet to hit Depoe Bay.

Great video! Love that shot of the whale. That may have been one of the better days for fishing this year. Wish I'd been there.

Awesome video! What a fun day.

Thanks everyone. It was definitely a day I won't soon forget.
For anyone who knows me knows I don't go out in the ocean unless the conditions are just right. That day was definitely a "Ray day".

Great video Ray. Gotta love the up close and personal with the whales!

Very nice! I think I'd rather see a whale than a great white... ::)

Cool video. I love seeing whales, and have said the exact same thing when they blow next to you coming out of nowhere. It is hard to describe, and videos don't do it justice.

Great video, Ray! I can't believe how calm the hole was going back in - I don't think I've ever been at Depoe Bay when it's that calm. Awesome whale shots too.
