I'm actually driving out in a few minutes to scout a few locations for next weeks trip. We'll be heading out on Sunday morning and leaving sometime on Wednesday. Let's keep an eye on the forecasts and hope for some decent weather breaks.

check out the salmon river on the other side of cascade head (just south of nesk) nice little bay and access to the ocean if the conditions allow.

The pier right near the end of the road is where I'm headed in 5 min. I want to check out this side-planer device I just picked up. It's an easy launch for kayaks or power boats and a beautiful area. You are right about the ocean access. It's a short paddle to the salt.

Any idea about a bar forming during the incoming tide?

I've checked out that launch a couple of times... good to know that's an option! I've heard it's a good spot for rockfish and what not, I just hope the tide doesn't get swingin to hard.
