Not sure if this was posted yet, but this past August we lost one of our own to the Kenai River.
I met Kurt at the Whiskey Gulch Annual AK Yak Classic in 2015, where I joined him for an evening drink along with his buddy Joe also from Colorado. He was a friendly man that embraced people. Even though I had just met him, he invited me to use his cabin in Soldatna anytime I came through town. We will miss this man, and his love for fishing.
His obituary is linked below.

Thought you should all know.

He was one of my high school friend's uncle. If you guys have memories and want me to pass them along to the family I'd be happy to. I didn't know he was a kayaker. What a small world.

Thanks Crash, I already sent a message to his wife. My mother-in-law is friends with her. She had no idea i knew him. You're right, it's a small world.

Wow...I did not know that. I am so bad with names. Condolences to his family.
