Title: New to kayak fishing
Post by: 13igF1sh206 on March 08, 2018, 11:15:48 PM
Hey everyone,
Just started kayak fishing several months ago. Currently fishing out of a Hobie PA14 and love it. Tired of being restricted to the shore/banks. Been fishing in fresh water for bass mostly. Interested in doing some saltwater fishing for some bigger game fish. Just wanted to say what’s up.

I'm new as well, just picked up an Outback a couple weeks ago but haven't had a chance to get out on it yet.  Never fished off a Kayak before...

Good luck and welcome to the addiction. I'm 44 and just started yak fishing 3 years ago...if the awesome rigs we've got now we're around when I was young, I'd never have left the water.

Thanks AKFishOn. I tell you what, your not missing anything. That kayak of mine weighs a ton. Went out with a bunch of kayakers on Saturday at Point No Point even with the short beach I still needed help getting the kayak off the beach. I just installed the Boonedox landing gear and the no flat tire suck on on sand.

I've got the Boonedox as well, you ain't kidding...even on my Native P13, the hard tires suck on sand. Going to order a new set of taller/wider arms and mount SandTrakz to see if they're any better.
