Good luck guys, I expect to see pictures of carnage! I don't think I'm going to make this one. Have a sturgeon steak for me.

That's awesome.  Gotta add that to my bucket list.  4 years in WA and I didn't catch a sturgeon or Shad...my two big bummers....

Nice looking fish! Are you using a quick-release anchor system? Roughly what depth were you anchored in?

I just run my rope out the back and tie a quick pull slip knot and I go fishing. We were in 25-27ft of water.

Great jobs guys. I've never eaten one and I keep wavering back and forth on whether or not to make the drive to try and take one home or to just be happy with C&R down here on the lower river.

I still haven't managed to catch one that I can keep.  I have some video that I still need to get edited of the day.  Everybody that skipped it, missed out.

These are great eating fish.  I've always limited my take to 1 per year though because of their depressed numbers and the potential for collecting toxins.  Smoked is my favorite but they're a firm, white meat fish and can be prepared the same way you'd prepare any saltwater, firm, white meat fish.

Very Nice!

I was out on Saturday. I picked a bad spot and was taxed of all my lead. The second I'd hit bottom the current would snag me up. I just couldn't find a spot protected enough.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

finally got around to putting a short video together.  Look how calm the water was.  It was great.
