Wow what a weekend. A buddy and I floated the Mamin River on Saturday. It was a nice warm day--no sun--but nice. We floated the river at 9AM -2:30 an landed 16 Steelhead. The bigest was a huge fat 37 inches. All we had was a stick to measure but if I was to guess on a girth It would be in the 20"s She was a fatty. He had a camera so when I get the pics Ill post them. But the flies outdid the bait....I bugged him all day cause I was outfishing 2/1. Alot of action though all day on both rods. Thank god for no dogs on this trip. The rapids were big and in some cases scary. We had alot of new logjams since all the wind we have been getting. So I think Im gonna fish the Mamin next weekend instead of the Yakoun. Pink bunnies and Chartruese glow bugs....
