I'm on that like Orson Welles on a donut... or my ex-wife who, if you were to see her, would agree that she and Mr. Welles were somehow related.

         Spot,
Sounds like you've opened a van of worms . We will all be awaiting details.....

  Hey Spot,

Whatever happened with the springer clinic you'd talked about putting on in March ?

ME!

There's a ton of area to fish between those two points.  Lots of different options for tactics as well.

The best way to get into a springer is to pick a specific area and copy what the PB'ers are doing till you get the hang of it. Learn the tactics and protocols for that area.  Once you get some skills under your belt you can start trying out new tactics or applying them to new areas.

Use Google Maps to find easy launches around Bachelor Island, I5 bridge, Davis Bar, Frechman's Bar, Willow Bar (Sauvie's Island), Social Security Beach (Sauvie's Island) etc etc etc etc  all the way down.

I'm planning on offering both off the water and on the water Springer Clincs come March.   Anyone interested?

Spot count me in! Hopefully there will be one or two on the weekends but this would be worth missing work for. :)

Trolled some herring after work yesterday from 4:30 to 7:00 from Davis Bar down to Frenchman's, with Langcod. Saw a total of three boats and no nets fly. Heard of a couple caught earlier in the day but no love for us. It's still very slow. It will probably pick up after Spot's clinic on the 22nd  ;D
