Some intolerable speaking, that lube did not help, caused me to disassemble my drive. I discovered several roller bearings had broken apart. I've been looking online for a bit now, can't find em for sale anywhere.
I fabricated a few out of aluminum, was all I had that was the right size. It's been a good functional temporary fix, but I'm sure the metal will start to cause wear to the parts around it before long.
Does anyone know where I could purchase said bearings, or a length of plastic rod, that I could cut into bearings?

When I had issues with mine our dealer up here said it couldn’t hurt to submit a claim even though my warranty had expired, and Hobie gave me 40 percent off a new lower spine assembly, so that may be an option for you if this is on your 2021 Outback in your signature? A lot easier to change the whole assembly than messing with the individual bearings too.
I probably have some good spare roller bearings in my old spine assembly if you do need them. The way mine wore, I would think aluminum and grit would probably chew it up pretty quick in there. I had the thought to try to figure out how to change that whole little drum out that the bearings ride on with a piece of round aluminum but I’ll never get to it

I should have some lying around at the shop (Outdoor Emporium in Seattle). When I do repairs and replace sprockets and such I usually keep the old bearings just in case I need them. I pretty sure I also have a bunch of brand new (the long skinny ones, not the short fat ones).

Yeah, my 2021. The wear on mine is very similar to yours, not quite as bad.
It was a pain to reassemble, for sure.
I'll contact Hobie n see what they say.
The roller bearings don't seem to be any sort of special material, will continue to search for a plastic rod of correct diameter, to cut my own.
Will post if I find something viable.

Enter this into Amazon and pick one for your project. 1/4 inch Delrin rod. I have replaced my broken bearings with this. I personally hate the 180 drive and would rather have a GT drive. I treat mine gently and have still replaced the spine several times under warranty. It's making noise now...

I'm inclined to agree with you.
The kick up fins are a constant pain.
I've performed virtually zero maintenance on my '07 drive, (I'm its second owner too) and it's still going strong. Admittedly, it hasn't seen much use since I got my 2021.

If you Google the part number you can usually find the bearings available somewhere. It gets tedious if you need to order 5 different things and have to do it from 5 different places, but you can usually find what you're looking for.

Related: I just tore down, inspected, and re-lubed my MD-180 (not kickup) drive for the first time, and really wish I'd started doing it sooner. I had quite a bit of sand/grit damage. Not enough to replace the spine but more than I wanted (similar to photo above). Lesson learned: Now all 4 of my drives are getting a once-a-year teardown, clean, and rebuild.
