Anyone else wish we had a way to "like" a post? I always see things on here I like/agree with, or would like to acknowledge without adding to the already page long of "nice jobs".  Maybe its just me.

No you can't even "like" it once. That is the problem!

I fully support a method to like a post or comment on a post - 1) for the same reason this thread was started. 2) It could be used in weighing posts when searching 3) It could be used in the ranking of members (most liked posts, etc).

that would be a nice option instead of all the (+1) posts.

With each +1 post, the user gains a post in their count of posts... because, in fact they posted something. I wouldn't dream of doing this intentionally, however, someone could +1 several posts, just to increase their post count, which in turn is reflected in their member status (Plankton -> Sturgeon).
If a like button were implemented, it could be given a weight < 1, for example for each "like" of a comment or post, .20 was given and thus 5 "likes" would equal 1 post, when calculating a member's status. The possibilities are endless.

If each of you buy me a beer the next time you see me, I'll add this.  :occasion14:

Would you consider splitting a pitcher and calling it good? (I like beer too)
