The world lost a great fisherman, friend and veteran today. The man known simply as CP (short for cool Pat) was a Vietnam veteran and life long fisherman. I looked up to him as a kid and spent many days fishing the Smith River and Redwood Creek ,in Northern California, with him and my Dad. I had hoped to get him out on the water someday but life had other plans. RIP CP, I'm sorry I wasn't able to get you on the water, you would have dug yak fishing.

My condolences on the loss of your friend, Noah. I've had a few that sound similar to him, and I thank God for them.

May he be granted safe passage.....sounds like a good Man.
He knew some very beautiful areas, spectacular views of the Smith River Canyon.
It was my backyard as a kid in the 60's and 70's and it will be one of the last visions to pass before my eyes at death.

The most a man can ask for at the end of his life is to be remembered well. Godspeed good fisherman! Fair skies and following seas....

The fact that there just isn't enough time to do all the shit we want to do just makes it sweeter when you actually get to do the things you want with the people you want to do them with.
Thanks for your service to this country CP, and thanks for passing the know-how on down the line.

I am sure that he looked on to you as you looked up to him. The memories that you have were his as well.
May the wind be ever to his back.
Condolences my Friend!

Noah, I also want to state my condolences to you and his family. If CP helped you become the great guy and fisherman that you are, then he has indirectly touched all of us as well.
