Heroes on the water, Portland Chapter is presenting a bass event at Willamette Park for our veterans. On September 27th, we will be hosting 8 to 10 of our areas local heroes here in dowtown Portland.
"What can I do to help?" you ask.
You can be:
1) a fisherman guide to a vet. Use your experience to help a wounded Warrior face the challeges of the water and himself 2) a shore crew action figure. Help run the machine that supports those on the water. Whether it be food prep, Tackle set up, or organization crew, the need is there. if you are helping on land, that frees up a HOW staff to be on the water.
3) be the local expert and teach our Lads and Lasses what the best techniques and bait are best for the certain stretch of water.
WHATEVER YOU DO, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IT HELPS THOSE WHO HAVE KEPT US SAFE IN A WORLD THAT IS INCREASINGLY UNSAFE. A few hours of your time helps us all repay the debt that we owe them and theirs.
