Hello everybody,

Relatively new kayak angler of almost 2 years; from the Bellingham area. I finally landed on the Old town Salty PDL after upgrading from a Nucanoe Frontier 12 and Lifetime Tamarack; and looking forward to learning more and hooking into a bunch more fish!

I have spent the last couple years mostly fishing for trout (mostly lake padden), kokanee (mostly lake Samish or lake Whatcom) and salmon (puget sound a few times, and then rivers like the Green/Duwamish and Skagit). Always looking for more fishing buddies and to learn more. I normally fish solo, but would like some company on the sound or in Skagit/Bellingham bay for salmon later this year. I normally fish in the Bellingham area but do go down to the Seattle area as well.

My goals for this year are to catch a King and a Coho from my kayak. Next year’s goal is a ling and/or a halibut. :)

Hope to meet some of you in the future!
Wishin' I was fishin'.

You started the way more people should get started: getting experience in waters where you're more in control.  Good job!  Welcome to the forum.  Best wishes for reaching your goals - and have fun along the way.

I expected the worst, but it was worse than I expected...
