I have Tuesday off and in need of my first trip out this season.  Depot looks like the only possibility for a close trip, but don't have a solid understanding of the surf reports.  Anyone looking at Depot for a maybe this coming Tuesday?  Have not been out of this port and won't go at it alone.

I really wish I could. If the forecast holds you won't  be alone.
Be sure to have your radio with you to communicate with the Coast guard on entry and exit of Depoe Bay. Channel 80.

Nope.
The south wind is going to be unpleasant Tuesday.
Here's my rational.
I use 3 apps as a starting point for my decision.
Windfinder, Windy, and MagicSeaWeed.
The info they provide will not be the same, different forecast models.

Windfinder has a decent swell height and period, 4.1 falling to 3.8 and a 12 seconds.
Gusts to 19 in the morning and continuing all day, though it does slow some.

Windy has a shorter swell height at a consistent 3.7 feet though at a short period of 4.5 seconds, hmmm.
It also forecasts winds in the low teens most of the day with higher gusts.

MagicSeaWeed is the most favorable forecast with a primary south swell of 1.5 feet at 13 seconds, nice.
There's also a secondary south swell of 3 foot at 5 seconds, they will occasionally combine and be higher.
Winds from the south with gusts in the teens.

Looks pretty consistent there's south winds in the teens, if they don't show it will be really nice.

Tomorrow is when I'll be at Depoe.

No salmon love today, not for anyone I talked to either.
Doing a lot of C&R as  I have fish in the freezer.
29" ling, a couple smaller ling, half a dozen blacks, a china, and a couple Red Irish Lords.
The water was very clear.
