I figure since Seattle, South Sound and Portland all have one, we might as well sound off those of us who live West of the Sound

I guess I count in this. Justin Wolf, Bainbridge.

Howdy neighbors. Port Townsend. I'm hoping for a good year in area 9.

I’m in Poulsbo. We are always looking for other kayakers to fish with. Me and my buddy typically target Kitsap, Mason, and Jefferson Conty lakes, but we are thinking about chasing some salmon in the salt this year. We also sneak out to the Eastside once a year to try our hand at some bass.

North Mason County here...
But laid up at the moment and also waiting for my new barge to arrive. ;D Hope to be on the water in a couple of week, boat due Wednesday and pain hopefully gone by Friday of next week so I can go test it out.... ;D

Time to chase some MA10 coho folks. I did well on Sunday and have been hearing good reports all week. I’m heading out in the morning...
-
Mitch from Port Ludlow....will be off of Flagler on Monday, the 16th. If anyone is in the area look for a yellow Outback.

SciGuy, any plans on getting out Sunday morning? I'm going to try to head out right after work and be getting on the water about 8-830 this Sunday. Hoping to push across to the west end of Vashon if I can fight the exchange.

Hey Mitch,
Planning to fish north of the spit at Flagler, or behind it in the bay? I'll likely be doing the same but haven't decided on Flagler or Pt. Wilson (right now, most likely Pt. Wilson).
So many boats though...I also thought about waiting till Wednesday for that reason.

Poor current and lots of weeds during the first half of the ebb where I was this morning. My son went 1-2 in the seat in front of me chucking and dragging herring. Nothing for me but I was mostly occupied with jigging up bait for him and running the yak. Will probably hit it again during the flood on Sunday.

Dropping in at Eglon around 7:15 tomorrow/Saturday morning with my 13 y.o. son and planning to fish all/most of the flood...light gray Hobie Outfitter

Dragging herring with no weight in the shallows during the first half of the ebb yesterday in MA9 with my 10 y.o. daughter. She got to play both of the fish we got all the way to the boat. Fun morning!
-
very nice. I have been hitting it hard east side of Bainbridge by Yeomalt point, no joy...

Beautiful fish! I need to get on the water soon.

Realize the original post is kind of old, but I'm in Sequim and would like to meet a few other kayak anglers. Fairly new to the area. I'd be game for lake fishing or even some salt water fishing as long as it's not too far offshore.

Hey all. I'm out of Kingston, and I'm presently outfitting a Trident 13 for fishing. I hope to fish Point No Point this winter for Blackmouth, and Neah Bay this spring. I've fished out of an outboard for years, but I'm a newbie to yak fishing.

New guy, I will be moving up there from the Bay area. I am transferring up there to the PSNS facility and am long time member of Nor Cal Kayak Anglers & our local HOW chapter down here. Once we find a place and get settled I hope to get out there and wet some lines. I fish both salt and fresh and have done some crabbing down here as well. Would like to meet up with some of you if you have get togethers. Please feel to pm me. Currently Yak-less, as I sold both of mine to get ready for the move. My fiancée has three boats but is selling two of them soon. So IU am also on a scouting mission for a replacement for my old Hobie Quest. I am not going to say I know 100% what it will be I am pulled in two directions between a Stealth and a peddle Hobie. If money weren't an issue, I would have both.

Kitsap peninsula off the Hood Canal myself

Welcome to the area. I spent time in the Bay Area before the military moved me to JBLM. Happy to dial you into the area and chase fish. Hoping for more Puget Sound meet ups on NWKA in '19.

Hi there! I am a long-time member who sold our Seattle-home in 2016 and have been RV-ing (and fishing) around the country since. We now have a place in Bremerton and I am looking forward to fishing the local waters again and connecting with other members.

Getting settled in, and went looking at yaks last weekend. I did get to see and talk to new Eddyline 14 owner and talk to him for a few minutes. GF talked to his paddling partner who had a touring yak, that is more her speed and she really doesn't have an interest in fishing much. Still yaklkess, but hope to remedy that soon.
