So, I'm getting caught up on the current ocean salmon regs, planning to hit PC tomorrow morning.

If I'm reading the latest ODFW regs, it reads that all ocean salmon is closed as of August 30th, however, Coho will open up on September 10th for certain days.

However, there is a blurp about Coho can still be retained, as long as they are fin clipped.  So, this contradicts the earlier paragraph.

Can anyone clarify this for me as I don't want to drag my salmon gear along if it is indeed closed, nor do I want to get a ticket.

Thanks.

Hey Cosmo - South of Cape Falcon (which includes PC), the ocean is currently open to Chinook only. Can't keep any coho, even if they're fin-clipped. The non-select coho season will open September 10.

I may see you on the beach tomorrow  :).

Hey Cosmo - You hauling a trap? Figured I will be fishing right in that area and might be able to avoid some bad person stealing my trap.
