Looks like everyone had fun.

Wondering...has anyone caught any actual good sized halibut yet out of WG this year? Wife and I fished it earlier this summer and tossed back the few we caught.

The collection pictured here looks like throw-back fish...and I realize I sound like a dick for saying that, but even 3 years ago, the fish from WG averaged much larger (or at least the pics showed them to be larger). I'm wondering if people are catching larger fish and not posting or if we are all resigned to take the small fish that are left in the Gulch...?

I know a group that prefers to remain somewhat anonymous that managed a 125, 105, 80, and I think 50 all on one tide....off kayaks...in 20 to 30 ft of water.

Looks like we have a starry flounder in the mix! Warming waters may be bringing them up from their normal California waters...maybe? But that second from left is definitely not a halibut. Looks like it's this flounder:

We've been catching starry flounder for years and years while dipnetting the Kenai...the rest of those are most definitely halibut.
